Cross Country

“Whenever you’re tired, you have to push through. That’s how you win. It’s mental toughness, wanting it more than everybody else."- Audrey Weir in Hawaii Tribune-Herald/ West Hawaii Today | Wednesday, September 13, 2017

As a 12 year old freshman, cross country was a nice ice breaker for Audrey.  She came into her freshman cross country season in great shape from summer tournaments, and won her first three meets, and came in fourth at BIIF championships, sending her to states.  All of the attention from the local news paper provided her with a great life lesson on motivation and pressure. Because her athetic journey had been focused on Soccer her whole life, the cross country strategy was all new and full of surprizes.
